UT5 is a matte PVC tape with a large cardboard core, specifically designed for tightly covering (dance) floors or studio stages. Its stiffness and straight tear-off properties make it ideal for long lengths of tape without the hassle of twisting or folding. The matte finish prevents reflections under lights – a favorite for TV recordings. Because of its tearability, UT5 is also used as an alternative to gaffer tape in some situations.
